File # Mission 2017-5747

Shortly after the dinner hour on Sunday, May 27th, 2017 Police, Mission Fire Rescue and Emergency Health Services attended the North side of the Mission bridge for a motor vehicle incident.

The 68 year old male motorcyclist was reported to be merging into the south bound lane of the Mission bridge, when he collided with another vehicle.

The LMD Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services attended the scene for further investigation. The BC Coroner’s Office was also in attendance.

As the nice weather remains consistent, motorist will see an increase in traffic volume. Motorists are reminded to slow down, keep your distance and to be aware of the types of vehicles on the road. Although, it is the responsibility of all drivers to practice good driving habits, motorcyclists are likely to sustain greater injury during a collision.
