Mission RCMP Victim Services Unit

RCMP Victim Services Volunteers:

Attend crisis scenes and provide both emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of crime or trauma

Applicants must be able to meet the following minimum requirements:

Minimum 19 years of age of good character (have no criminal record)
Complete a mandatory introductory training – approximately 60 hours (Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April to June)
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Be able to obtain and hold in good standing an Enhanced Security Clearance
Able to do 4 crisis shifts per month, attend quarterly team meetings and VS support specific training
Participate in community engagement and education
Commit to a minimum of 2 years (including introductory training)
